Pricing tiers

BrandBanta charges for the platform — the aggregation, the trendlines, the narratives, the alerts, the seats. Inference (the LLM calls themselves) stays on your OpenRouter bill via BYOK. Two separate dimensions.

Paid plans are designed to run on BYOK with your own OpenRouter key. We don't sell inference. You bring the inference; we charge for the product on top. Nothing hard-blocks a paid workspace without a key — but without one, scans fall back to our shared key, which is capped at 5 scans for the lifetime of the workspace regardless of tier, so in practice a key is required for any real usage.

History retention note: the per-tier history windows below describe the intended commercial policy. Retention limits are not yet enforced — today every tier retains full history, and nothing is deleted at the window boundary.

The plan most BrandBanta customers run on. Designed for solo founders, in-house marketing leads, and small marketing teams tracking one brand.

Real BYOK cost on Pro usage: typically $5–$15/month on OpenRouter for a workspace running weekly scheduled scans across 10–20 queries. Total spend with platform fee: ~$54–$64/month.

For agencies and in-house teams tracking multiple brands or supporting many stakeholders.

What we deliberately don't charge per

Per-scan tokens — that's your BYOK bill, not ours. We don't mark up inference.
Per-LLM-platform — all four platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity) are included on every tier.
Per-citation — we extract and store every URL the LLM cites; no metering.
Per-narrative — Pro and Team include unlimited regenerations of the AI narrative.

Payment

When billing is enabled (look for the launch announcement — current status is parked behind a feature flag), Pro and Team are managed via Stripe with monthly subscription billing.

Until billing is enabled, you can join the waitlist via the Pro/Team CTAs on the pricing page to get notified at launch.

Custom contracts (multi-org, SSO, on-prem, custom retention) are available for enterprise — talk to sales.

Switching plans

Billing is parked (see Payment above), so this section describes the planned flow for when it launches — proration, downgrade timing, and read-only retention behavior are not implemented yet and may change before billing is enabled.

Free → Pro — checkout via Stripe, tier upgrades on first successful payment, monthly quota resets immediately
Pro → Team — same flow; Stripe prorates the difference
Pro → Free (downgrade) — takes effect at end of billing period; data over the Free tier's 30-day history limit is retained read-only but stops accumulating

Cancellations: cancel anytime in Settings → Billing. Access continues to end of paid period; no refund for partial months.
